ELEVATE Strategic Partner webinar – Harnessing digital technology for inclusive education in Asia: essential guidance on best practices and risks
According to the UN, COVID-19 related school closures have impacted 94 percent of the world’s student population, up to 99 percent in low and lower-middle-income countries. While the crisis has exacerbated pre-existing education disparities by reducing learning opportunities, it has also stimulated innovation particularly related to the use of technology in support of remote learning. Critical insights have been gained about the role of digital technology in achieving inclusive and equitable quality education.
This webinar provides essential guidance for CSR, community engagement, and social investment professionals that are interested in exploring the potential of digital technologies to increase the impact and scale of education programs for Asia’s most vulnerable children and youth. Drawing on insights from programs in the region, Save the Children, Inclusive Education and ChildFund International will discuss:
- Examples of the use of digital technology to advance education outcomes in Asia including in low or no-connectivity areas
- Challenges and risks related to the use of digital technology related to equitable and inclusive access, human rights, and online safety
- Evidence-based insights into the effectiveness of digital technologies in education programs
