Leanne Melnyk, Vice President, Li & Fung

Leanne Melnyk is Vice-President in Li & Fung’s Vendor Compliance and Sustainability Team in Hong Kong where she manages corporate policy, programs and partnerships. She is passionate about bringing environmental and human rights innovations to scale in one of the world’s largest supply chains.

Her education is in law and sustainability development. She has eight years experience at Better Work and the International Labor Organization in Geneva, Switzerland managing projects and research on business and human rights. Key achievements include the design and launch of the Work in Freedom Program – a project that connects the private sector, governments and trade unions to combat modern day slavery of women in the domestic work and garment sectors. She has also co-authored several publications on improving working conditions in the domestic work and garment sector.
