Ronna Chao, Chairman, Novetex Textiles Limited

Ms. Ronna Chao is Chairman of Novetex Textiles Limited.  Established in 1976 and employing over 1,100 people, Novetex is one of the world’s largest single site spinners with its headquarters in Hong Kong and factory in Zhuhai.  The Zhuhai facility houses two spinning mills and a dyeing mill, with an annual production capacity of 9 million kilograms of quality yarn.  Novetex is the “Complete Yarn Resource” to a wide range of global fashion and apparel brands.

Ms. Chao is also CEO of Novel Investment Partners Limited and a Director of Novelpark Investments Limited.  Her responsibilities in these various roles cover investment and portfolio management and property redevelopment.

In addition, Ms. Chao is CEO of Bai Xian Asia Institute (BXAI), a non-profit organization which runs the “Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program”, offering up to 105 scholarships each year for Asian students pursuing their higher education at the Institute’s many partner universities.

Prior to returning to Hong Kong in 1996, Ms. Chao worked in New York in Mergers & Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs and International Licensing at Tommy Hilfiger.  She has degree in International Relations from Brown University and a MBA from Stanford University.

Ms. Chao also serves as Supervisor and Board Trustee at the International Christian School of Hong Kong, Board Director of Mother’s Choice, Standing Vice Chairman of The Hong Kong Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs, and Counsellor of Our Hong Kong Foundation.
