Dr. Ulrich Boettger, Senior Vice President Finance and Controlling Asia Pacific, BASF East Asia Regional Headquarters

Ulrich Boettger was born in Ludwigshafen, 1965. He studied business economics at the University in St. Gallen, Switzerland, as well as at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce (ESC) in Paris, earning a PhD degree in economics in 1994. During his career in BASF he held various positions in Finance and Controlling in Germany, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Among others he was head of BASF Global Treasury and BASF Global Controlling. He also headed the Post Merger Integration when BASF acquired Cognis in 2012. Ulrich sees Finance and Controlling as a means to support business, and promotes digitalization to further innovate and change. In his private life he is a sports enthusiast, and participates in – amongst other events – BASF’s pedal kart charity team in HK.
