Yun Zheng, Senior Consultant, Responsible Sourcing, ELEVATE

Yun Zheng is based in ELEVATE’s Hong Kong office and is responsible for the project management and delivery of social and environmental sustainability consulting projects. Her project experience includes benchmarking studies, development of corporate ethical sourcing strategies, and due diligence reporting on supply chain risks. Yun also manages the Higg Index program and has supported several brand partners on Higg adoption and implementation. She is an expert on supplier training and a sought-out public speaker on supply chain topics such as transparency, migrant workers, country risks and compliance trends. 

Prior to joining ELEVATE in 2015, Yun interned at H&M, working closely with the sustainability team on a Higg pilot program with 22 factories to understand their social and environment performance. Yun also has a strong science and data background with extensive research and technical experience in climate change and field research. Prior to her move to Hong Kong, Yun was a climate change research scientist at Columbia University. 

Yun has worked with various international organizations and community partners including UNEP and EarthWatch on climate and environment issues to implement solutions and training. A native New Yorker, she has a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a Master’s degree from Cornell University in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
