Breakfast Roundtable: Driving Gender Equality and Measuring Progress for Success (invitation only)

Including women in the labor market is good for business and whilst women are entering the markets in increasing numbers they are often located in less secure and lower paid industries and are underrepresented in senior positions in all sectors. There is a leaking pipeline of female talent as the higher proportion of female graduates in many disciplines does not translate into similar proportions of women and men in management positions in companies.

Investing in Women (IW) works to drive inclusive economic growth in the region. Working closely with businesses in the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia, IW is developing and promoting strategies to advance gender equity in the workplace and identifying and supporting business leaders to advocate for change.

Many of IWI’s partners use EDGE Certification, a leading assessment standard to support gender equal workplaces EDGE certification. Over 200 companies in 50 countries use EDGE as a tool to measure and address gender gap.

This invite-only breakfast session will provide an overview of the EDGE tool, including country specific data insights, and how companies can practically prepare to utilize EDGE Certification.
