The UN Guiding Principles Reporting Framework states that human rights due diligence is: “An ongoing risk management process to identify, prevent, mitigate and account for how a company addresses its adverse human rights impacts.” The process includes four key steps:

  • Assessing actual and potential human rights impacts
  • Integrating the findings and acting on them
  • Tracking responses
  • Communicating about how the impacts are being addressed

In this webinar, Kevin and Erin will share how ELEVATE is working with companies to adopt this risk management approach to human rights due diligence, enabling them to understand, address and report impacts.

We will look at the legislative drivers for a risk management approach, the need for effective understanding of supply chain risks, and the opportunities for effective capacity building and collective actions.
