Sustainable Investment Analyst, Schroders

Elly has worked as a Sustainable Investment Analyst at Schroders since 2014 and is responsible for ESG analysis and company engagement across the global consumer sector. She has published thematic research notes on a number of social issues including the living wage, modern slavery and risk of sugar becoming the next tobacco.

Previously she worked as an ESG Investment Analyst at Newton Investment Management (2009 – 2014). Here she conducted ESG analysis on companies in which Newton had significant holdings, company engagements across all regions and sectors and completed proxy voting for all of Newton’s UK and European listed holdings. Prior to this she worked at F&C Investments (now part of BMO Global Asset Management).

Elly attended Nottingham Trent University (2003 – 2007) attaining First Class Honours in Business with Accounting and Finance. She holds the IMC and CFA Level 1.
