Faruk Muktadir is a chemical engineer with about 10 years of experience working as a Health, Safety, and Environmental Management (HSE) professional in the textiles and apparel sector and oil and gas sector. He has a long association with the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), a US based organization focused on promoting sustainable manufacturing and improved environmental management globally. Currently he is the regional head for Health and Safety at Coats Group.

When he worked at the ISC, he helped design around 25 courses on HSE, served as Master Trainer, and worked closely with all four of ISC-established centers of excellence on HSE in China, India and Bangladesh. He continues to serve voluntarily as subject matter expert for the ISC and the soon to be established Bangladesh Institute for EHS Professionals (BIEP). Prior to working for the ISC, Faruk worked for the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety, Chevron and Dada.
