Executive Director of Sustainability, Marina Bay Sands

Kevin Teng has led the Sustainability Department at Marina Bay Sands since January 2012, progressing into this role after being the integrated resort’s Chief Engineer since opening, and leading the sustainability efforts for Las Vegas Sands Corporate prior to that.

In his current role, Mr. Teng is responsible for the entire property’s green initiatives, including spearheading energy, water, waste, food, sustainable procurement and staff engagement projects. He most recently directed a team of specialists to drive resource cost-savings and implement sustainable design solutions, leading Marina Bay Sands to achieve a 24% reduction in its carbon footprint over 3 years and receive Green Mark Platinum certification from the Building Construction Authority (BCA), EarthCheck Silver Certification and ISO20121 certification for Sustainable Events.

Kevin has a Master of Science in Urban Planning from the London School of Economics, and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and International Studies from Duke University. In addition, he is a published writer for trade publications and is a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional.
