Le Nguyet Minh

Global Agriculture Advisor, Oxfam

Ms Le Minh is Global Agriculture Advisor at Oxfam. Minh, a development economist, advocates for a world free of poverty and injustice.  For over 20 years, Minh has strived to improve livelihoods, income security, and the resilience of rural communities in Asia and Africa. 

With Oxfam, Minh leads various initiatives to pursue improvements in the global rice sector.  Her efforts have contributed to shifting the power dynamics of the food system, resulting in support for small-scale producers, particularly women, to claim their rights.  Her work is part of Oxfam’s commitment to promote fair and sustainable agriculture, and resilient food systems. 

Le Minh is an active member of the global System of Rice Intensification (SRI) Community for well over a decade. She helped network SRI groups in sub-Mekong region and South Asia, published on SRI, and highlighted the role of SRI in sustainable rice production at international conferences.  

Prior joining Oxfam, she held positions with various international development organizations, including DFID, World Bank and FAO.
