Savitri Restrepo Alvarez

Associate Director, Sustainability Consulting – Human Rights

Savitri looks after ELEVATE’s Sustainability Consulting activities with a focus on human rights and worker engagement based in Hong Kong. She has deep experience in strategic and operational sustainability, modern slavery, and ethical and responsible recruitment.

In her current role, Savitri is responsible for leading programs and services in relation to safe migration, forced labor investigations, recruitment fee remediation initiatives, and worker-voice solutions including grievance mechanisms / helplines and ELEVATE’s WorkerApp.

Savitri joined ELEVATE from Esquel Group, one of the world’s largest textile and apparel manufacturers with a vertically integrated supply chain, where she led the company’s sustainability strategy including both environmental and labor issues. She has a background in public policy, international development, corporate strategy, communications, and employee engagement. Previously, Savitri worked at the Clinton Foundation on market-driven social enterprises, Social Accountability International (SAI) on human and labor rights standards, and General Electric (GE) on healthcare and energy policy.

Savitri has a Master’s degree in Management Science in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University, and is a Schwarzman and Albright Scholar.
