Associate Director, Worker Engagement, ELEVATE

Sung In joins ELEVATE in October 2020 as Associate Director, Worker Engagement. This includes oversight of all worker surveys, grievance mechanisms, Laborlink services and the WorkerApp product as well as the relevant Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS) projects.

Prior to ELEVATE, Sung In was Country Director in Kyrgyzstan for American Councils for International Education where her team implemented educational programs that support youth and human capital development. Before this position Sung In was the head of EMEA Consultancy at Verisk Maplecroft where she led strategic planning and business development, and advised private clients on corporate social responsibility, human rights, and sustainability. Clients included multinational brands and retailers. Previous roles include working with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), The Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars, Peace Corps, Chatham House, and Amnesty International.

Sung In has a Master’s degree in International Peace and Security from Kings College London and an undergraduate degree in International Politics from Georgetown University. She is a native speaker of English and is fluent in Russian, with basic proficiency in other languages including Korean, French and Kyrgyz.
