Zahid Ghauri is responsible for all of ELEVATE’s business activities carried out in Pakistan. He has over 15 years of experience in supply chain capacity building, risk management assessments / trainings, Code of Conduct (COC) auditing in the areas of social and environment, health & safety. This includes senior level engagement with world’s largest retailer and home textile manufacturer in Pakistan.

Prior to joining ELEVATE, Zahid was the Regional Manager, Responsible Sourcing at Walmart where he was a member of management team overseeing strategy. He led Walmart’s Responsible Sourcing teams located in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Turkey. Zahid also managed Walmart Responsible Sourcing program in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Turkey, Middle East and Africa. He was Walmart’s regional representative with external stakeholders programs, such as the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety, ILO Better Work program, Women Economic Empowerment program, EHS Academy etc.

Zahid received his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering from N.E.D. University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Pakistan. He is a Post Graduate Certified Health, Safety & Environment Professional from the Pakistan Institute of Quality Control (PIQC), N.E.D. University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Pakistan. He is also an IRCA certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 and an approved BSCI auditor.
