Evelyn Astor

Evelyn Astor is a specialist in employment and social policy at the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). Much of her work focusses on improving the adequacy and coverage of minimum wages, and supporting unions in their minimum wage negotiations. She also works with unions and international institutions, including the International Labour Organisation, on improving the access to social protection and identifying financing possibilities for social protection reforms. Prior to this, she worked at the European Commission on issues around social protection and gender equality in the labour market. Evelyn has an MSc in Social Policy from the London School of Economics and a degree in public policy and human rights from New York University. She speaks English, French and Spanish.
