09:00 – 12:00 | Morning Pre-Summit Training Sessions
Training 1: Building and Implementing a Sustainability Strategy
This practical session is aimed at companies who want to make their sustainability strategies truly strategic and embedded into the organization. We will look at how companies can develop sustainability roadmaps and move from sustainability initiatives to a coherent sustainability strategy. We will examine the structures and systems that need to be put in place in an organization to create value and enable integration of sustainability issues into business planning and processes. The course will build on a strategic framework that has been tried and tested with a number of CSR Asia clients. It will look at successful implementations plans and how to get employee buy-in through “champions”.
Training 2: Understanding Effectiveness and Impact of Community Investment and CSR Programs
This session will go through step-by-step the Theory of Change methodology to help attendees first understand the effectiveness of their program design and accordingly determine what else is needed for their CSR programs to achieve positive impact. Training 3: Integrated Reporting and Integrated Thinking
Integrated Reporting is the next phase in the evolution of corporate reporting. The process that began with the requirement to report on sustainability (along with financial reporting) has now reached its next natural phase – linking financial performance to sustainability. Integrated Reporting and Integrated Thinking are crucial in understanding and communicating the links between sustainability strategies and investment decisions and lead to better decision making within an organization, effective disclosures for investors and improved communication for an organization’s stakeholders.
Training 4: Creating Shared Value
Creating Shared Value (CSV) compliments CSR, through implementing initiatives that enhance the competitiveness of a company while also advancing the economic and social conditions in which that company operates thereby, meeting social needs. The CSV approach represents an exciting new wave of social responsibility and community investment that can enhance the long-term viability of projects.
