Since 2023, the counter-proposal to the Responsible Business Initiative has come into force in Switzerland with the “Ordinance on Due Diligence and Transparency in relation to Minerals and Metals from Conflict-Affected Areas and Child Labour” (DDTrO, in German VSoTr).
As a result, Swiss companies are legally obliged to understand whether they have to comply with due diligence and reporting obligations regarding child labour and conflict minerals.
