Mr. Cruz is an M&E Specialist. He holds an MA on Social Development (DSD), with post-graduate studies on Negotiations and Political Diplomacy and Environmental Management for Industry. He has been with Amru Rice as advisor and business development manager. He helps implement CSR programmes in the company, leads compliance monitoring on EHS standards and makes the company’s Sustainability Report meeting its SDG commitments using GRI report standards. He usually helps to develop project concepts and proposal for business-to-investor or donor, especially on technical assistance projects.

Since 2013, Amru Rice has been working with various partners to help achieve CSR goals and more inclusive business. Amru is the main exporter of organic Cambodian rice that passed the European Organic and USDA Organic standards, including Fair for Life trading standards. The company has effectively mainstreamed a contract farming model for agricultural products produced sustainably. It is the lead advocate for Sustainable Rice Platform and the implementation of public-private-produce platform. The company works with various agencies, including with IFC of the World Bank, the Dutch government, the AusAid Cambodia Agricultural Value-chain Programme and German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ).

Mr. Cruz is also engaged by the ADB-MoLVT Skills for Competitiveness (S4C) project as International M&E Specialist. He has worked as development consultant in the ASEAN region on projects monitoring and evaluation and strategies’ programming on skills education, natural resource management, agriculture and fishery value-chains and emerging industries.
