Wendy Blanpied

Senior Project Manager, Global Trace Protocol project, ELEVATE

Wendy Blanpied has worked for over 20 years addressing human rights abuses, including child and forced labor, GBV and other labor and child rights, globally and more recently in global supply chains for the US government, companies, civil society organizations and the UN. She currently works on an innovative project developing global traceability schemes in the cotton and cobalt supply chains with ELEVATE Limited. Previously, she spent several years helping companies, the ILO, Save the Children, Rainforest Alliance, and Fairtrade, among others assess risk and determine strategies to address the risk of human rights abuses in global supply chains. She led Save the Children’s child labor work within their Child Rights and Business Division and conducted Congressionally mandated child and forced labor research and managed programs when employed for the US Department of Labor. During her career, she has served as a board member of the International Cocoa Initiative, an ambassador for Remake and served as on the Fair Labor Association’s Civil Society Caucus. Ms. Blanpied holds a Master’s Degree on Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from the London School of Economics.
