Wilbert is Senior Advisor, Workers’ Rights and Trade Union Relations for Fairtrade International. Among other duties, he leads Fairtrade’s work on the issue of Living Wage in supply chains and is Co-Chair of the ISEAL Global Living Wage Coalition. Previous employment included positions in Labour Relations and Human Resources Management in The Netherlands and Canada. Wilbert studied law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Alberta. He has a Master’s degree in Work, Employment and Globalisation from the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague. Wilbert works out of Fairtrade International’s secretariat in Bonn, Germany.
