Dear U.S. Polo Assn. Licensee or Factory Partner,

The goal of our USPA Life initiative is to ensure that U.S. Polo Assn. product is being made in ethical and sustainable ways. Compliance with the USPAGL Code of Conduct is integral to the responsible sourcing component of this initiative. Your commitment to our program is appreciated.

To support this program, USPA Global Licensing Inc has partnered with ELEVATE, an industry leader in sustainability and supply chain services globally. More information on ELEVATE can be found on their website.

Effective July 2022 USPAGL will be adopting ELEVATE Responsible Sourcing Assessment (ERSA) as our global standard for factory compliance with the USPAGL Code of Conduct and acceptable industry practices – with an optional Worker Sentiment Survey conducted with each ERSA evaluation. In the spirit of collaboration, we will also be accepting a variety of evaluations or audit reports from other industry standards outlined below.

The submitted report must be conducted as follows:

 

Accepted Industry Standards:

  • ELEVATE Responsible Sourcing Assessment (ERSA)
  • Amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI)
  • Better Work
  • Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) 4-Pillar
  • Social Accountability International SA8000 Standard
  • Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) and / or Higg FSLM
  • ABVTEX
  • WRAP
 

The submitted evaluation/audit report

  • Be issued within the last 12 months
  • Be a full report + CAP
  • Be a report completed by one of the following accredited audit bodies:
    • Bureau Veritas
    • Control Union
    • ELEVATE
    • Intertek
    • SGS
    • TUV
    • Underwriters Laboratories (UL)

ELEVATE will also be supporting on CAP management at select factories according to the USPAGL Sustainability Toolkit.

If you have a report that meets the above criteria, ELEVATE will conduct an equivalency review and upload the data to the USPAGL system. Please select ‘Equivalent Report‘ as type of service on the next page.

If you do not have a report that meets the above criteria, you must request a full assessment with ELEVATE. Please select ‘Assessment’ as type of service on the next page.

If you do not have a report that meets the above criteria and are sourcing less than $20,000 annually in volume for U.S. Polo Assn., you must request a Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) with ELEVATE. Please select ‘Assessment’ as type of service on the next page.

 

 

Already conducted an EQ or audit with ELEVATE?

If you have an SAQ, equivalency or audit with ELEVATE and require additional support, ELEVATE can provide CAP support services on your behalf on a case by case basis. In addition, for serious or systemic issues, you can request additional capacity building or training services with ELEVATE.
